Press Release from Egyptian Nubians about the visit of the Committee of Wise Men of Africa

In the name of black motherland which we live on and in the name of the black color which dye our skin..in the name of Africa, the mother land and our old continent. We are welcoming the visit of the delegation of wissmen Cairo to have insights about the current situation in the Egyptian capital. And that in a formal mission of the African Union, here and after AU. Knowing that Egypt is a founding member in the AU                                                                                                              
We appreciate the sincere care of our African brothers to understand the situation on ground through direct  interacting with the main actors in Cairo .                                                                     

We, Nubians of Egypt , would like declare our pride of belonging to Africa and that can be articulated in our Koushian language, one of the oldest languages of the world. And it is manifested in our traditions, customs, culture and our dark skin. In addition to that we would like affirm on the scared tie which relate our nation to the mother continent, that Nubia, by all its details , prove that Egypt is an African nation.                               
The Egyptian Nubians who scarified their historical lands, their properties and all the details of livings, in return of better development and prosperity to the rest of the Egyptian territory. Nubians suffered from building and reestablishing  dams in their lands according to successive  governments. We believe that  our demands and our historical cultural and legal demands is coming sooner or later, when a civil modern democratic state prevails on the principles of citizenship and respect of Human rights 

    And in this regard we would like to mention the following 

Egypt witnessed a popular revolution in 30^th of June, where huge numbers of the people in all the corners of the country demanding the outset of  Mohamed Mursi and the Muslim Brotherhood and their sectarian constitution. And then the army supported the   just demands of the people and called upon the institutions of state like AlAzhar, the church ,  the supreme court  and the opposition leaders .they decided to outset the president and suspend the constitution. Further on  they declared a road map which consists of amending the constitution and calling for presidential and parliamentary elections within 9 months. And we as Nubians were in the middle of this 

endeavor.   

We are looking forward, as Nubians, to add and amend some of the articles in the suspended constitution which promote our linguistic and cultural rights, criminalizing discrimination against color or race ,  the respect of the cultural and ethnic  multiplicity  of Nubian society and acknowledging the multiplicity of the Egyptian society . we demanded the same demands through the process of writing the suspended  constitution in 2012, however it did not find any acceptance and that was a motive for us to participate in toppling this regime, which see Egypt as one color, one fiction, and one group. They neglected the wide spectrum of Egyptian society, which is multiple  color wise, religious wise, cultural wise and ethinc wise

our struggle for a constitution which stipulate these just rights will continue against any regime or authority which neglect these rights

Our brothers in the other half of Nubia, Northern Sudan are witnessing continuous chaos in a misery destined on them when dams are build or reestablished , it seems that this is the taxe and nobody pays it but Nubians , whether in the south of Egypt or the north of Sudan . that’s why we call upon your committee to visit Sudan and to intervene at the Sudanese government to stop building Kajbar and Dall, which to build in the Northern Sudan and those dams will devastate the remaining of the old kingdom of Nubia, the first human civilization of 9 thousands year . we are calling for saving our people in Nubia from been force  displaced which will affect them negatively culturally, healthily and  linguistically .
